Some Helpful Hints:

• When using words on the cover, try not to pick words that have both American and English spellings, i.e. favourite/favorite, colour/color, organization/organization.
• Certain categories in the UK are very difficult for US books. Those categories are cooking, parenting, business and health. Strong categories include history, film and international politics.
• When possible, try to secure a local publicist for a major book you are trying to sell outside the US.
• Paperbacks sell much better than cloth editions so if possible, try to release your books as trade paper originals. Hardcovers are often skipped outside the U.S.
