Based in Toronto, Les Petriw, Manager, Director and International Sales Director, oversees operations for Canada as well as NBN international sales efforts. Jessica Paquin is the Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Caitlin MacIvor is the Database and Promotion Coordinator and eight representatives call on accounts throughout Canada. All orders are shipped from the US twice a week from the NBN warehouse and freight forwarded to stores, wholesalers and libraries in Canada.

Some Helpful Hints:

• Dual pricing (i.e. US/CAN prices on back cover) in Canada is not mandatory but preferred and NBN notifies its publishers with suggested Canadian prices. In most cases, professional books do not need the Canadian price on the cover.
• When possible, try to secure a local publicist for a major book you are trying to sell outside the US.
• Paperbacks sell much better than cloth editions so if possible, try to release your books as trade paper originals. Hardcovers are often skipped outside the U.S.
